There were many churches in the Canal Zone. On both sides of the Isthmus, and in between. Also, most all the military bases had chapels. I had the opportunity to be organist at the First Church of Christ, in Ancon, as well as being substitute organist at several of the military base chapels. My favorite organ to play was at the Balboa Union Church. All those keyboards, all that power, all that great echo effect. Great memories...
